Welcome!

Cappagh Parish Derry Diocese

Welcome to our parish

Welcome to the Cappagh Parish website page.

Thank you for visiting us!

Cappagh's entomology stems from the Irish meaning of 'cultivated land’.

With about 12,000 parishioners, it's mostly a rural parish incorporating part of Omagh town and many of it's surrounding town-lands and villages namely Killyclogher, Knockmoyle, Mountfield and Strathroy.

Spanning approximately 60 square miles, geographically, it's the largest parish Derry Diocese.

The origins of the parish can be traced back 600 years with a strong, vibrant and living faith continuing to flourish today under the prayerful, diligent and faithful guidance of our priests.

Cappagh Parsh is part of the living Body of Christ in the Diocese of Derry (RC) in Omagh, County Tyrone. We are proud to be a growing, vibrant parish.
